Fall classes are now under way..look for the winter schedule

I will be putting together class schedules for my winter courses to start January 4th 2010.I will be offering to following classes:

Introduction To Digital SLR…this is an 8 week class designed to teach you how to use you DSLR,the basics of photography and what makes a good image. This foundation course is rigorous in that there are weekly assignments where you will shoot at least 200/week as well as shoot a final project.

Intermediate Digital SLR…this is a continuation of the intro class and covers use of on and off camera flash, file types, printing and more emphases on good image making and also is demanding in that weekly assignments as well as a longer final project is required.

Portraiture..we will learn both studio and small flash lighting, as well as how to use natural light more effectively. Will will being shooting models each week in and out of the studio and will critique in each class. There will be time spent on working with models ie:posing and loosing up techniques as well as Photoshop/Photo Element work.

Photoshop/Photo Elements..We will work to gain a basic understanding of these softwares. We’ll learn how to use layers and work so we don’t damage images.By the end of the class you will be able to work your way around the software and experiment with your images. In addition we will learn to use Camera Raw.

With all the classes that I teach, the importance of great images is stressed..the technical part is only an avenue to get there…after you take a class you will never look at a photograph the same way._mg_24781
